Leah and Patrick were married last June and held their alternative wedding at Clemson Bros. Brewery in Middletown, NY. As soon as they told us they were getting married at a brewery, we were SO in. We knew the vibe would be very similar to our own wedding, which took place in an industrial, old textile mill complex with an onsite brewery. So they were immediately speaking our language. 🙂
“Boho-chic meets industrial charm! Our overall color scheme is lilac with hints of gold – going for an airy, romantic, and summery feel. Our venue is at Clemson Bros. Brewery. It was repurposed from a blade-making factory from the 1800s. Much of the structure is still the same (brick exterior and interior) with industrial/farmhouse-chic updates inside (soft lighting, wood tables, muted colors).”
The couple wanted a laidback, casual wedding in an industrial setting with lots of brickwork. They prefer candid and natural photos with warmer hues and darker greens. The bride’s dress was an effortless Willowby by Watters gown from BHLDN and the groom’s suit was from Knot Standard. The groomsmen wore The Black Tux and the lilac colored bridesmaid dresses were from Kennedy Blue.
You may recall their engagement session at Skylands Manor, where we had an absolute blast with them (and where Patrick first popped the question!) They had so much fun goofing off together, we even forgot we were technically working – loll! You know a couple’s wedding day is going to be awesome when they have that much fun alone together at their session. Add in all their friends and family and you get a roaring party.
Aside from choosing the unique venue of Clemson Bros. Brewery, some other noteworthy vendors were Jeff Scott Gould of SCE Event Group (one of the best in the biz!) and end-of-the-night donuts (in lieu of cake) provided by Sugarlips Donuts. Steve and I grabbed a craft beer on tap at the end of the evening (to photograph, of course 😉 ) and couldn’t leave without trying a donut. We love getting to experience what means the most to our couples and the unique ways in which they choose to celebrate their love!
“We met at a craft beer bar. We like hanging out with our greyhounds and going to concerts.”
“In spite of Leah’s disdain for online dating apps, she decided to give Coffee Meets Bagel a shot. To her surprise, the first and only date she went on was with her future husband, Patrick. They met up on December 19th, 2018 at Revolution, A Social Brew House in Morristown, and hit it off right away. The bride likes to think that they were destined to have a brewery wedding all along.”
“On a warm Friday in October, Patrick whisked Leah away from her then-job to enjoy a half-day exploring The Skylands Manor at the New Jersey Botanical Garden. When they arrived, he took her by the hand and began (speed) walking. Unbeknownst to Leah, Patrick was scouting out the perfect spot to get down on one knee and pop the question. As luck would have it, all of the “good” spots were taken by painters or old men in lawn chairs. So, he lead her over to a charming, yet unassuming old tree at the center of a field. Long story short, some expletives of disbelief were exclaimed, tears were shed, and the most beautiful green sapphire found its forever home on Leah’s ring finger. And yes, they did share a few pints afterwards!”
