The Flaherty family joined me last June at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, NJ for their Summertime family session. Also known as the New Jersey Botanical Gardens, this is one of our favorite places to shoot and we practically lived there last year in 2022. It turns out to not only be a romantic location for golden hour engagement sessions, but a fun and playful environment for parents and their kids alike. The expansive grounds allow a lot of exploration and lots of running around for little ones. There are so many sights and sounds and it can be really stimulating there for all ages. We think it’s super important to keep things moving on a family session so kids don’t get bored, and there’s a lot to see and do here!

Sarah first reached out on behalf of herself, husband, step son and their infant. Her good friend Cierra (who you may recall from this anniversary session) recommended us, and we are so grateful for the referral to this sweet family! The Flaherty crew is a blended fam of Sarah and her husband Connor, his son Ronan and their new baby Sadie. Ronan was so incredibly loving to his new sister Sadie. We love seeing a family union like this! Especially seeing Sarah’s beautiful relationship with Ronan.
