Patrick & Leah had a very misty and romantic Summer engagement session at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, New Jersey. Also known as the Ringwood Botanical Gardens or Castle at Skylands, this is one of our favorite places in Northern New Jersey to shoot engagement sessions! It’s the perfect mix of architecture and nature. The grounds offer both a natural woodsy feel along with manicured, well-kept gardens.
Skylands Manor was the perfect choice for these two, though because there was a big tree way back in the field where Patrick popped the question and proposed to Leah!
This couple took our advice and brought some drinks along with them. We alwaaaays recommend this to loosen you up! (But it’s merely a suggestion, don’t feel like you have to drink!) We think it’s safe to say that it definitely made this couple at-ease in front of our lens! I think even without some adult beverages handy, they would’ve been this silly and awesome together no matter what. But, there was dancing and twirling, dips and barefoot running! We love that Patrick and Leah have the same spirit of fun and adventure. Their energy level together was just too good, it was honestly contagious!
“We met at a craft beer bar. We like hanging out with our greyhounds and going to concerts.”
It’s absolutely perfect that their wedding this June will be at Clemson Bros. Brewery, since they met at a craft beer bar! We always recommend choosing a place that’s meaningful and represents you as a couple. And it goes without saying, Steve and I are definitely excited for their big day!
