Megan & George were married at David’s Country Inn with a private first look at Stephen’s State Park.
You may remember these two from their Engagement Session in Hoboken. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this couple. They’re incredibly easy-going and go-with-the-flow. There’s such a calm and comforting energy between them and we feel lucky to have been a part of their wedding day.
“We want to take advantage of all of the amazing nooks, crannies, and interesting bits of David’s Country Inn as possible! Some of our favorite spots to take couples photos are the bar (I want to sit on the bar and have the train of my dress hang down! obsessed!), the bar area with stained glass, the phone booth, the ivy wall, the cozy lounge upstairs, etc.!
As for the first look – we’ll head down the road (5 min drive) to Stephen’s State Park for some fall foliage/nature shots.
Ceremony – We will be doing a “Quaich Ceremony” which is a Scottish toast using a Quaich (small silver cup) between bride and groom. There will be a small table off to the side of us where the groom’s father Felix will pour as a “dram” of whiskey to sip. (We’d love for the guests to be able to toast us as well!
Also, our officiant is the bride’s cousin Jennie who is a very close family member, so it should feel very personal!”
Much smaller and more intimate than we expected! Vintage with hints of modern glam, romantic and a touch of nature.
Colors: Deep emerald/teal, gold and ivory accents.
“George and I have known each other forever, but we reconnected on my 21st birthday when he graciously bought me a Long Island Iced Tea. The rest is history and we have now been together 7 years! We recently got engaged in Scotland, which was amazing.”
