Liz and Marty’s Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club November wedding in Farmingdale, New Jersey was a treat for mid-Autumn. We were graced with a gorgeous golden hour sunset and the reception was a real GOOD time.
I first met with the couple in Manasquan for their engagement session at Leggett’s Sand Bar. They met here as co-workers while bartending. It may not have been love-at-first-sight, but after some courtship these two were inseparable and clearly meant to be together.
Because they each bartend, the size of the bar at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club was important! They wanted an upscale venue that still felt casual, where the food is good and is close to home. They liked that Eagle Oaks is understated and low-key, with a relaxing cocktail and patio area. It’s not as formal as some other venues, but has a big enough space with plenty of room for dancing – which was also super important!
The vibe was traditional, elegant and romantic. These two just wanted an all-around fun day surrounded by friends and family. The overall color scheme of the wedding was white, with hints of burgundy/cabernet/maroon. Flowers were simple in color with just white and greenery. Liz wanted LOTS and LOTS of candles to help enhance the romantic feel.
For their November wedding the feel was modern, polished, classic, casual & laidback, with lots of greenery – and NO pinks according to Liz! Haha 🙂 The bride’s dress was Martina Liana by Essense of Australia from The Bridal Garden. And the bridesmaid dresses were Azazie. The groom’s tuxedo was from Chazmatazz Formalwear of Toms River.
Liz prepped at their home in Brielle, NJ. Marty prepped at Chateau Inn and Suites in Spring Lake, NJ. The ceremony was held at St. Denis Church, Manasquan, NJ
There was not a first look, which actually worked in our favor because we arrived back at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club, just in time for golden hour before the early November sun set of 4:40pm.
The reception party photos were some of our favorites of 2021. Considering these two roll with a bar-crowd, things got rowdy in the best way possible! Marty teaches music so having a live band was also important and ramped up the crowed even more.
Congrats again to Liz & Marty!
