Liz & Marty chose Leggett’s Sand Bar and Manasquan Beach for their engagement session, because it’s a place meaningful to them. We are always down to photograph your engagement session somewhere truly meaningful to your relationship, especially if it’s where it all started.

How they met:

“We met at the one and only Leggett’s Sand Bar in Manasquan where Marty is a bartender and I am a waitress. It took some convincing, but I finally agreed to go on a date with him and the rest is history. Our favorite thing to do is to lay on the couch and relax with our pup, Samwell. We will pretty much binge watch any show, we just love an excuse to be lazy.”

We feel that! Any excuse to be lazy is good in our books. Oh, and their dog Samwell is named after Samwell of Game of Thrones. Which is pretty amazing.

Outside of Leggett’s, they have a nice little patio area. And were were there at such an early hour, they basically had the whole patio to themselves! Liz & Marty ordered some drinks and just hung out. This is SUCH a great way to loosen up before we do the more “posed” stuff for your session. Having a little drink takes the edge off, and eliminates some of the weirdness factor involved with having yourselves professionally photographed for the first time. 🙂 We highly recommend it, Steve and I drank lots of beer at our own engagement session! Don’t get sloppy drunk, just enough to put you at-ease.

Leggett’s is perfectly situated directly across from Manasquan beach. It was really nice for them to have a drink and then walk right out onto the beach with Samwell. This was early fall, so the beach was pretty abandoned, too. We love our couples to have some privacy at their session, and choosing the beach off-season is a great way to feel more comfortable.

Their wedding is set for November 2021 at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club and we can’t wait!
