Maria and Frank’s March disco wedding at City Winery Hudson Valley in Montgomery, New York definitely lived up to the hype! We were super stoked about this one, mainly because the vibe was very much like our own wedding day in an industrial/factory setting.

These two are both are photo editors and Frank is an architect, so they both have an eye for design!

Their engagement session was at City Winery, as well. Which was great because we got to know the venue beforehand!

The vision for this wedding was a dream. Vintage rugs, lush florals and a TONS of disco balls galore! The colors were romantic and warm, which reflected the early Spring (basically still Winter, haha) wedding.

“Disco/Boho/Winery. I have vintage carpets coming in for the ceremony, arched backdrops, disco balls and candles. The colors are mostly rust and terracotta. We just want everyone to dance the entire night and have a blast.” – Maria

Wedding Day Details

The couple made it official the night before. We covered their church ceremony in Pompton Lakes with their closest family and friends (it was still a packed house, lol!!) It was noteworthy that Maria went with a different, more boho look for the night before. The main wedding look was still boho, just with a little more glitz and glam.

The bride’s dress was from Castle Couture. The bridesmaid dresses were Jenny Yoo from Bella Bridesmaids and the groom’s suit was from Bucco Couture.

The next day we joined our friends at Folded Crane Films to document this incredible affair! The forecast showed lots of rain ahead for the day, but none of us took notice. There are so many amazing interior spots at City Winery, we made the most of everything! Maria and Frank had the most positive attitude. And Maria loved they way her vision came to life so much, we’re pretty sure she was ready to move into the room where the ceremony and reception took place. (Honestly, we were, too! lol). The talented florist of Damselfly Designs knocked it out of the park! And we were lucky to have the help of Amanda from The Union Studio helping plan and coordinate the event.

The awesome rentals were from North Country Vintage and the gorgeously modern invitations were done by the ever-impressive Kristen Sardini Design.

Finally, the party kicked off with one of our all-time favorite DJs, Jeff Scott of SCE Events. The couple danced the night away with friends under the reflective disco balls. On top of everything else, it was a killer party.

We adored Maria & Frank and wish them a lifetime of happiness!!!

How Did You Meet / Get Engaged?

We loved your story about how you went to high school together (and Frank copied Ria’s homework, lol) but connected a few years ago through Instagram over a love of travel. We also were fond of your engagement story with pedis together (haha!) and then Frank popping the question on the Spyglass rooftop with the view of the Empire State Building. 🙂
