Taking Wedding Photos Without Adding Stress to your Day

The wedding day should definitely be all about the lucky couple. That being said, there are many
responsibilities and tasks that the couple are still responsible for. One of this is wedding photos, both
staged and natural. Good pictures take time and a talented photographer. The tips included in this
article take you from working with a photographer to making sure ample time is scheduled for
photographs, knowing how to look the best in wedding photos, and guaranteeing that there will be memories stirred by the photographs.
Tip 1. Plan Ahead
In the grand scheme of things, your wedding is a very short event. You will be working with a
photographer who is going to document many different moments. Prior to the wedding, make sure to communicate with the photographer, agree on the terms of the contract and number of wedding photos that will be taken, and create a shared image space. This will let the photographer know the kind of pictures you like and do not like.
Tip 2. Plan the Day
There are so many different events to fit in during the course of a wedding. From the ceremony to the reception, you will be constantly on the go and mingling with your guests. Make sure to schedule
enough time that you think you will need for pictures AND include some buffer time. Wedding photos always take longer than you think they are going to and you do not want to delay another part of your day.
Tip 3. Stay in One or Two Places
You might have grand visions of traveling to many spots in order to take wedding photos. This sounds like a great idea. However, you want to minimize as many complications as possible during your day. A photographer will have a different perspective on your location than you will. So even if you do not see a lot of photogenic spots, your photographer will be able to make something work.
Tip 4. Touch-Up Hair and Makeup
Regardless of whether your wedding and reception are inside or outside, your makeup and hair will take a hit throughout the day. Make sure to carry the right supplies or have a hair stylist that comes to your wedding and is able to keep you looking awesome all day!
Tip 5. Include Accessories
Make sure to keep items like your flower bouquet and special keepsakes with you throughout the day. In addition, whether you use bubbles or confetti or rice, make sure to have something to throw as you exit the ceremony as this will make the wedding photos look fantastic.
Tip 6. Take Advantage of Different Times
There will be times of the day where outside wedding photos are best and others where the show should move inside. Think about the lighting and temperature and try to plan your photographs accordingly. Also, use time to make sure that you get pictures of everyone in both spontaneous and staged settings.
Memories fade and soon your wedding day will be in the past. Pictures help us recall and reflect on fleeting moments. There is nothing more meaningful than your wedding photos.
