Megan & Rob had their Springtime wedding at Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, NJ. These two were so easy-going together! We had discovered this immediately at their engagement session. They made each other laugh and did our favorite thing ever – started to ignored us! We love it when a couple is just having such a good time together, they partially forget we’re there.
This couple met through Megan’s cousin and love to hike together!
A rustic theme with flowers including different shades of purple and pink. The tables had greenery and bud vases with wild flowers. The bridesmaids dresses were a mix of light grey and pale blue.
It felt like Spring but modern, highlighting Rock Island’s inherent rustic, lakeside beauty. Weather worked in our favor, so we used all the great spots this venue has to offer including the dock, lake & swing.
Everything was held onsite, including prep in the respective upstairs bridal suite and downstairs groom’s suite. This couple wanted one place that would take care of them and make their day as easy as possible. Bridal Party was a nice size of 5 & 6 on each side. They shared a first look, with plenty of time for photos before their 3:30pm ceremony. Sun did not set that day until 8:15pm so we snuck them out by the dock later for some extra golden hour photos. What we lacked in a full blown sunset, we made up for in just letting Megan and Rob have fun. Rob twirled Megan around as they practiced their first dance on the dock while we experimented with some double-exposures.
The cocktail at Rock Island is always a gracious hour and a half. Reception was a raging party with our buddy Giuseppe of Love of Music Entertainment DJing.
Congratulations again to Megan & Rob!
