Rock Island Lake Club June Wedding in Sparta, New Jersey

Jessie and Jake’s June wedding Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, New Jersey was the dreamiest day! The wedding day began with the guys taking the boats out fishing on the lake while the girls had their hair and makeup done by The Mane Event. The night ended with s’mores and a sparkler send-off!

Special Details

The couple wanted photos that are natural with romantic golden light + warm tones. They expressed that they could have easily had a more low-key, backyard style wedding (still with lots of string lights* lol) but they chose Rock Island for their love of being outside, especially on the water.

Their adorable dog Scout joined them for pictures, and oh my goodness what a cutie.

A really beautiful part of the day was that Jake’s aunt was the officiant who performed their ceremony overlooking the lake. Under the simple yet stunning archway, decorated by Phoenix Flowers and Events, the couple exchanged “I Dos” next to the glistening lake shining in the June sunlight.

The bridesmaid dresses were a gorgeous array of mismatched colors from Azazie and Revelry. *I’m still obsessed with how all of those muted, blushy earth tones looked altogether!
The reception kicked off with one of our all-time favorite DJs, Giuseppe of Love of Music Entertainment. And these guys knew how to throw a party DOWN.

All we have are fond memories of Jessie and Jake’s wedding day that we loved reliving it again writing this blog post!

The Wedding Day Vision

“We are going for the rustic vibe! I am going with a more neutral color scheme. I plan on having all of the bridesmaids in totally different dresses and colors; they will each get to pick their own! I am really into the taupes, mauves, sand/brown colors. I am thinking of having my sister (MOH) in a floral or patterned/textured dress with all the different neutral colors/tones. The flowers will have a lot of the greenery in it and baby’s breath, and any other white flowers. The boutonnieres for the guys will be really simple with some greens and baby’s breath. I plan on keeping decorations and other small details very simple!

“We love our dog, and spending time on the water! I’m in the Army and Jake is in construction management. We are both so close with our families, and I have a big family. I’m sure many funny moments will be captured with it being an open bar. We recently moved to Severn, Maryland. :)”
