We loved shooting Caitlin & Josh’s Fall Engagement session at Peddler’s Village in New Hope, PA! It’s one of our favorite places ever. Mainly because there are just so many cute shops and restaurants.
Every fall, Peddler’s Village displays a Scarecrow Festival, and the center square of the village showcases dozens of scare crows, hand made by locals. It’s so fun. The village just fully embraces fall with pumpkins and hay stacks everywhere.
This was a particularly moody, drizzly day. Which just goes to show, you don’t need perfect blue-sky & sunshine weather to have an amazing portrait session.
We keep two clear, plastic umbrellas in our car just in case of weather like this. We actually LOVE a good drizzle. And having cloudier weather in Peddler’s Village in the fall seemed fitting for Caitlin and Josh. They LOVE Halloween. In fact, their wedding was post-poned and now is set for Halloween 2021! It’s like the date change was always meant to be.
These two strolled around the village square with umbrellas and not a care in the world. We love the way the mist surrounded them by the end of the shoot. They had a jack-o-lantern carved with their original date and other fun Halloween props. Caitlin has such a unique fashion sense, it all just worked so perfectly. They also picked up some delicious cupcakes from The Lucky Cupcake at the end of the shoot!
We can’t wait for their Hallowedding!
