Jessica and Steven’s June 3rd wedding at The James Bradley Hotel in Bradley Beach, New Jersey might have been chilly day for June, but things were really heating up all night! There wasn’t a dull moment. Ever. From the intimate ceremony in the back courtyard of the Hotel, to the ice cream truck at the end – oh yeah, and the appearance by the Bradley Beach police. Read on for more!
The James Bradley has the exact vibe you’d want from an intimate shore wedding venue. It has a modern design that feels upscale, but relaxed.
Jessica’s vision: “Simple, beachy, easy! Small invite list (55) of close friends and family where we just want to dance the night away and celebrate our love with the most important people in our life.”
The event was planned by planner Lauren Notoro of Blank Slate Events and everything had just the right amount of beach influence (despite 50-60 degree weather) and elegance. Jessica wore a dress by Grace Loves Lace and she looked like a gorgeous boho land mermaid. Guests watched the intimate ceremony and then were invited to the front of the building’s wrap-around porch for cocktails, bites and tunes.
The guests convened around back again as the string-lit courtyard was rearranged for the reception. The temperature was dropping and the ocean breeze a few blocks away was picking up. Guests kept warm around the firepit – and by plenty of dancing! The Greg Smith Group kept everyone on their feet and moving… until the law enforcement arrived. Apparently, a live band was a little too loud for this outdoor ceremony in a quiet Jersey shore town. But they let us proceed acoustically, and the rest of the party became even more intimate as everyone had to gather around the fire and listen together.
The Cone Zone Ice Cream Truck arrived and everyone lined up, cold-ish breezy weather be damned. The dancing continued and even their pup Iggy made an appearance on the dance floor.
This early Summer wedding was romantic and timeless. Jess and Steven’s wedding was symbolic of their relationship as a whole: laid-back, low-key and they simply wanted to throw a party have a good time. 🙂
There was so much joy surrounding Jessica and Steven, and all they did was laugh together. We wish them endless happiness forever!!
