Rebecca and Tyler met with me in July at Sandy Hook Beach for their engagement session. There’s nothing quite like Summertime at the Jersey shore. Down in the Highlands, the roadway divides the bay from the ocean. On week nights, the beach-goers leave early and we have the whole Hook to ourselves. We can use both the bay and the ocean side and everything in between.
Golden hour was exceptionally vibrant this particular evening. As the sun set, the sky turned into a gradient of hues that transitioned from blue to orange. There was nothing better than Rebecca and Tyler’s willingness to play in the water and put their toes in the sand.
This location was the perfect nod to their lakeside wedding coming up one year later.
“We had been together almost 4 years when Tyler proposed at a Christmas Tree farm this past November in front of both of our families with a “will you marry me” ornament on a tree. We love the beach, hiking, a healthy sports rivalry (he’s a Mets fan, I’m a Phillies fan) and good red wine.”
We loved the tidbit in their Westhaven Christmas Tree Farm engagement story about how Tyler was really nervous he might accidentally break the special ornament before presenting it to Rebecca! We’re so glad for him that it didn’t break, but we have a suspicion that Rebecca would’ve said yes either way!
We are so stoked for their Rock Island Lake Club Wedding which is coming up in August 2024!
