Suzy and Eric are good friends of ours and when they got engaged we definitely did a happy dance for them. Steve did a lot of portrait work for their band Heavy Sigh, which can be seen here in our music portfolio. After making that connection and forming an actual friendship, we were so excited to do their session and we can’t wait for their wedding next year at Waterloo Village!

Tell us about yourselves!

“We started dating in 2008 after meeting through mutual friends, when Suzy and her friends made cakes for Eric’s former band. Eric then asked Suzy out with an ice cream cake he made at his old job (Dairy Queen). He wrote “Will you be my girlfriend?” on the cake and we’ve been together ever since. Our dating anniversary is 3/16 which is fun because it’s Stone Cold Steve Austin Day and we’re both big pro wrestling fans. Now we play in the same band together and like to binge ’90s sitcoms and anime. We also have two cats we’re obsessed with and are preparing for a move to the Midwest this summer!!”

And as Suzy stated above, they moved out to Indiana for work and we’re missing them dearly! Hoping for a trip to visit them soon and to see the sights in Chicago, since they are outside of the area. We are beyond excited to celebrate and document their full wedding day with them in March, 2023!
