Nick and Jess’s June wedding at David’s Country Inn was such a gorgeous display of late Spring/early Summer colors, fun energy and pure happiness!
The color scheme included mint green, navy blue and grey. The vibe was fun and relaxed. Jess envisioned lots of boho-rustic elements with lots of greenery. She described the day as “unique like our romance.” The flowers were cream and blush colored with some eucalyptus. The Bride’s dress was Lillian West by Justin Alexander and the mint colored bridesmaid dresses were from Azazie.
As we’ve said in previous blog posts, David’s Country Inn has SO many nooks and crannies within its historical architecture and framework to use as portrait backdrops. Both the interior and exterior are filled with gems. And now, with their newly built courtyard area, you don’t even have to leave for pictures! Everything can stay right on site which keeps couples relaxed and at ease. Nick and Jess also requested photos at the bar inside David’s with the whole bridal party.
These two wanted to exemplify their relationship with fun photos and a mix of serious editorial shots, too). Shooting in both of these styles is equally our favorite way to photograph couples! We want to have fun and show off your personality, but when the time calls for it we also love a good stoic portrait. Think of it this way, we set you up as if you’re posing for a royal family portrait painting. But then after a while you can’t take it seriously anymore and burst out laughing. That’s our approach and Nick and Jess were really good at that!
