Hartshorne Woods Park was the perfect spot for Chloe and Jacob’s Summer engagement session! Chloe knew she wanted something by the water. We adore this spot because you can actually walk into the water in the private beach area. It was definitely an appropriate setting after these two switched their wedding to a destination wedding in Mexico!
When Chloe first inquired with us, we had a lot to talk about because it turns out we currently live in the same town and have the same last name! No relation, though haha. We hit it off with these two and we were so excited when they booked. After some time went by, they reached out that they would be having a change of plans. Realizing weddings in NJ can be equally expensive, they decided to ditch the original plans and have their wedding elsewhere!
We absolutely can’t wait for their destination wedding in Mexico this coming April at El Dorado Seaside Suites by Karisma!!
Steve and I totally have friend crushes on Chloe and Jacob, lol. They were seriously so fun to photograph. The energy between them is just plain electric. They were also exceedingly good sports because at the end of their session in Hartshorne Woods Park, they hopped in the water together. As I was photographing them, I noticed some dark looming clouds approaching. We knew rain was in the forecast but we figured we could beat it back to our cars. Nope. As we were walking it really started to pour on us. I had brought umbrellas because I knew the storm was potentially coming, so we at least had that. I had rain bags on my cameras so that was all good! We trekked back to the car and honestly had a good laugh. We were positively SOAKED by the end. It was a damp drive home. I knew after this moment, though, that these two know how to roll with the punches and have a positive attitude about anything, especially when they’re together.
