Travis & Jill decided on Waterloo Village for their Fall engagement session. We collectively chose October 11th, to be exact. The leaves are just beginning to peak in North Jersey, typically during the second week of fall. (Fun fact! We had our own engagement session last year on October 15th in Port Jervis, NY. In NY the leaves are essentially at a high point for turning at that time). If you’re planning a fall engagement session, keep in mind that as you reach the end of the month of October in Northern NJ / Upstate NY you will lost the foliage faster. If you are in South Jersey/ Pennsylvania, you usually have a bit more time!
Waterloo looked perfect for this fall engagement session. The leaves, bridges and historic buildings were all the most perfect backdrops for Travis, Jill, and their pup Marshall! He was deaf and couldn’t hear us but we kept making noises to get his attention anyway, continuously forgetting. He honestly melted our hearts.
It was a particularly cloudy day, which we truly love especially in the fall. However, we always want that pop of sun during golden hour. This time, Steve and I brought a light and placed it behind the couple for a pop of fake sunlight! They also brought champagne to pop, which is always our favorite way to end an engagement session! We can’t wait for their wedding next June at Perona Farms!
So in love with Jill’s engagement ring from Alexis Russell Jewelry (where my own engagement ring & wedding band are from!)
Had to get some of Jill alone!
Seriously, an epic champagne pop!
