*Sigh,* Mike and Millie. And we are sighing in the BEST way possible!! We can’t stop swooning over their end of May engagement session at Historic Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ. These two are absolutely adorable together. Their laughter, their love. It’s the type of love that reminds us why we do what we do.

Fun fact: Steve went to high school with Mike! I always joke that Steve is such a recluse and homebody. Yet somehow we are constantly connecting with people he knows from his past or present. It was so nice for me personally to get to know both Mike and Millie (and their fur-baby Murphy) one-on-one during their engagement session. It’s so obvious they care so deeply for one another. Like most guys, Mike expressed discomfort in front of the camera in the beginning of the session. But you could see that just melt away every time he put his arms around Millie. We said it in the last engagement session post and we’ll say it again, you don’t need to like having your picture taken – you just have to like who you’re taking it with!!

We absolutely can’t wait for their wedding this November at Refinery at Perona Farms!

 

Their Story

“It all started on June 18, 2016, when Michael and Millie met at a friend’s party in Millie’s hometown. Millie instantly was interested in getting to know Michael after conversating for a little at the party. Millie then learned the next day after talking to her friend that Michael was interested in getting to know Millie more too.

Fast forward to the last weekend of July 2016, Millie went to visit her friend who had a shore house in Belmar, NJ (where coincidentally Michael was staying as well). The two had reconnected during this weekend and spent this time talking, laughing and really getting to know each other. They both knew there was an instant connection, and it was something special. After that weekend, Michael and Millie spent much more time together by going on dinner and movie dates, getting ice cream, and just spending hours in the car talking. It was then on August 24th, 2016, at Macaroni Grill where Michael surprised Millie with tickets to the Giants and Jets game and then asked Millie to be his girlfriend and make their relationship official.

After being together for almost 5 years, on August 7th, 2021, Michael (and their pup Murphy) proposed to Millie in the very same spot where the two first shared the words “I love you”. In November 2021, Michael and Millie became homeowners and moved into their first home in Pequannock, NJ! On November 10, 2023, Michael and Millie will become husband and wife and can’t wait to celebrate with all of their amazing family and friends!”
