Kirsten & Mike’s April engagement session took place at Bountiful Gardens & Sayen House and Gardens.
Upon our first meeting with Kirsten over a video call, we compared plant-babies in the the background of our screens and bonded over what crazy plant ladies we both were. When she told us that her and her fiancé Mike would be tying the knot at Stonehouse at Stirling Ridge, we understood her vision completely. Lots of natural greenery with an outdoor ceremony, weather permitting. It will be officiated by a friend. Short and sweet, by the trees. Since natural vegetation will be incorporated heavily into their wedding day, we were stoked to oblige her idea of doing their engagement session at Bountiful Gardens followed by a quick jaunt to Sayen House and Gardens before dusk.
These two were engaged in February in the Poconos. Mike proposed at The Lodge at Woodloch. We can’t think of a more romantic & cozy time of year to get engaged! (Good job, Mike!) Their laughter together was SO contagious. I found myself in the best mood ever after this session. They crack each other up and aren’t afraid to be playful together.
I was so thrilled with Bountiful Gardens, it being my first time there. It isn’t a particularly huge place, but is so lush and overstocked with plants. We were honestly having trouble finding such a lush greenhouse nearby in New Jersey so I’m glad Kirsten found this one!
Afterward, we quickly jetted over to Sayen House before the sun completely set. They have lovely bridges and manicured (but still very natural) grounds! It was April so the Springtime blossoms were just in bloom. It was a perfect evening!
We can’t wait for Kirsten & Mike’s wedding next April 2023!
