David’s Country Inn August Wedding with portraits at Rutherfurd Hall Bridal Suite Boutique Revelry

Serena and Kevin’s David’s Country Inn wedding took place in August and it was a beautiful day in Hackettstown! Aside from an adorable first look on the front porch of David’s and some initial portraits, we whisked the bride & groom, bridal party and their families off to Rutherfurd Hall for the rest of portraits!

Ever since David’s Country Inn renovated their parking lot into a beautiful courtyard, we find it less and less necessary to go offsite for photos. However, if you are going to leave, Rutherfurd Hall is the place to go! It’s only approx. 15 min from David’s and worth the views and expansive grounds!

We met with the couple the previous November for their engagement session at Dater Mountain hiking trail. This is where we first met their dogs Bella and Lisa!

The Details

The bride’s dress was from Bridal Suite Boutique and the bridesmaid dresses were Revelry.

The vision was simple and elegant with lots of greenery along with white & gold accents. The couple got dressed in the Warren Suite and we used all the other amazing modern-rustic spots David’s has to offer. We always want to highlight the simplistic & historic beauty David’s offers and let it shine. This makes for more timeless photos since David’s feels like an old, cozy estate.

We made use of the ivy wall & courtyard as well as interior spaces. This was actually our first time seeing the newly renovated ballroom at David’s and boy were we blown away! The color of the walls, the way they expanded the room by eliminating a staircase and hardwood floors!! We were literally stunned.

Because Serena and Kevin opted for a first look, we were able to do all of their important photos early and the rest of the evening was more candid. They had a textbook first look out on the front porch of David’s. It was seriously the sweetest moment ever. They were just so excited to see each other!!

Tell us about yourselves!

“Kevin and I met in college and have been building our lives together for 5 years. Bella is our dog who is basically our child. We love staying in and watching movies together but also spend a lot of time with family and friends. On the weekends you’ll find us taking our dog out on new adventures. Our perfect Sunday is where we get to sleep in as late as we want and then go to eat at all our favorite restaurants!”
