Kaitlyn reached out to us about doing her and Ricky’s three-year Anniversary Session. They are from the Barnegat, LBI area so I immediately recommended Hartshorne Woods Park as a halfway point between us. And of course, one of our favorite places to shoot in New Jersey.

This session was very important to them because they have had photos taken in the past, but never with their long-haired Dachsund Duncan. Duncan is the GOODEST boy and is a 10 year old rescue they adopted 4 years ago. He’s a little old man and waddles around so low to the ground, but always stays right at the heels of his mom & dad. If you all have been following us for a while, you know we LOVE dachsunds.

Three Years & One Pup Later

Kaitlyn & Ricky’s Anniversary Session revolved around their three-year anniversary. They got married 3 years ago at Old Mill Inn and wanted something a little different for these photos to hang on the walls of their home. Not only was this technically an anniversary session, but it was also sort of a little family session with their 10-year-old baby Duncan.

Kaitlyn wanted somewhere with tall meadows, plus a woodsy & beachy vibe. Hartshorne Woods has it all. The most notable part of the scenery is that it overlooks the Navesink River.

Even more than the beautiful scenery, we just cannot get enough of little Duncan. I mean, look at that face!! And his little sweaters. It was definitely cuteness overload.
