Alison and Dan have a love of wineries and breweries and they decided on Warwick Winery in Warwick, NY for their engagement session. From the minute we met this laid-back couple, we knew we were going to love working with them. They brought a picnic blanket and made themselves cozy with some glasses of white wine. TIP: If you need to calm your nerves before getting in front of a camera, share a glass of wine together! We by no means are suggesting you do it if it’s not your thing. However, we highly recommend going out for a drink together (or just have some wine at Warwick Winery like A & D!) before an engagement session. Not only does it loosen you up, but it turns the whole shoot into a little romantic outing for you both. Win / win!
It’s noteworthy that Alison and Dan were unapologetically themselves in front of the camera. Furthermore, they weren’t afraid to show how much they loved each other or act like big kids in front of me or the world. We always tell our couples to forget so much about posing if they are worried about it, we will direct you when you need it. All we want you to do is basically ignore the fact we are there with our cameras and just be yourselves. The sillier and weirder, the better, to be quite honest with you! It was an absolute pleasure getting to know Alison & Dan at Warwick Winery and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year out near Pittsburgh!
