Katelyn and Michael chose the Conservatory at Sussex County Fairgrounds for their October wedding. The first chill of the season was in the air, but overall they had the most gorgeous day. The Sussex County Fairgrounds have a pretty casual vibe, which is what this couple wanted. They envisioned a nice fall day with pops of color from the trees. Bridesmaids wore Cabernet colored dresses and the groomsmen wore black to offset the groom’s navy blue suit. Katelyn looked stunning in her Essense of Australia wedding dress.
A beautiful sunset beckoned guests to have a seat near the patio gazebo as Katelyn made her way down the aisle. They shared a beautiful outdoor ceremony, officiated by the groom’s stepfather. This was a sweet, personal touch because he knew Katelyn and Michael so well. After the ceremony, we whisked them away to the open fields where the sun was almost set.
Post-ceremony is a wonderful moment to take some alone time together. We don’t like to give TOO much instruction for posing during this time, and just let you be together. However, we couldn’t resist a good veil toss in breeze!
The claim to fame at Sussex County Fairgrounds is the open reception space. Tables were set with lots of candles and fairy lights. Cranberries and rosemary floated inside each candle votive. Encouraging the warmth and coziness of the colder, on-coming winter months. The space felt open but intimate and inviting. Furthermore, everyone had a blast on the dance-floor thanks to Elite Entertainment! Congratulations again to Katelyn & Michael!
