MaryRose & Vincent kicked off our Spring wedding season at il Tulipano, and this year it hit a little different. Coming off of 2020 covid-madness, and an equally sluggish winter with continuous uncertainty – Spring 2021 really does just feel like a new beginning. MaryRose & Vincent are so lucky they only had to reschedule from November 2020 to April 2021. An extra 5 month wait isn’t nearly as long as some people have had to wait. And they were able to have the wedding of their dreams! (Spoiler: the color scheme wound up working out even better for Spring!)
Typically, most East Coast photographers like us try to work year round. We take whatever comes our way in the winter, but it’s obviously much slower than Spring through October. Each Spring feels like you’re getting back on the horse again and back into the rhythm. But after the weirdest year ever filled with covid-impacted weddings and postponements, we felt recharged and more excited than ever to get back on that horse! And not only are we feeling the excitement, the couples are, too! There has definitely been a shift in perspective as people take stock in what they have and find the gratitude to once again simply reunite with family and friends. In other words, the parties have gotten better! Everyone is just so joyous and quite frankly, thankful to be out of the house!
The color scheme for this il Tulipano wedding was sage with pink and orange pastel accents. The funny thing is, MaryRose chose sage for the fall but her color scheme ended up looking amazing for Spring! They wanted their photos to feel classic and natural. Flowers were hoop bouquets for the bridesmaids with pastel blooms. This couple was married via Byzantine Catholic wedding ceremony at Saint Michael the Archangel Cathedral in Passaic, NJ.
“Vinny and I met online three years ago and fell in love almost instantly. We enjoy the outdoors whenever we can, mainly through hiking or fishing. I am a high school History teacher and he is a production planner for an aerospace electronics manufacturing company. In our spare time we can be found cooking, binge watching Disney+, or engaging in hobbies like reading or crafting.”
