Meredith and Nick chose Skylands Manor for their Summer Session in Ringwood, NJ. It was one of those June evenings when we were just gifted with the most amazing golden hour light imaginable. We can’t always guarantee this will happen, but if you really want golden light for your session, the odds are greater between June through early November.
I had a lot of fun watching these two break out of their shells and get comfortable in front of the camera. We are broken records at this point, but as long as you love the person you’re doing your session with – the photos will reflect that. Don’t try to model, just enjoy the experience! Make a date night out of it, and bring drinks. Go out to dinner before or after (depending on timing). Buy yourselves some new clothes for the occasion so you feel your best.
We are celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime moment between you both in which you’ve gotten engaged. Some people don’t pause to process this. Doing an engagement session is an amazing way to commemorate this special time. As we walked around Skylands Manor, we could see Meredith and Nick becoming more at ease as they realized that their only job was to enjoy spending time together!
“We met through mutual friends. We enjoy football Sunday when it gets colder, and sitting by the pool in the summer. We last binge-watched Friends.”
They’ll be getting married this December at Rock Island Lake Club!
