Jules & Zack’s April wedding was the second in our Rock Island Lake Club marathon last Spring. Located in Sparta, New Jersey with beautiful lakeside views, this is one of our favorite venues in NJ. And this last Spring, we felt like we lived there. The staff is so efficient, the food is excellent and the lakeside vibes are just so calming. We love it here!
These two got engaged while in Jamaica. They have this unwavering attentiveness to each other and were just so loving. It was another magically warm Spring day, so they really lucked out. Jules’ dress was Justin Alexander and Zack’s tux was from Men’s Wearhouse.
The vision was romantic and clean with a color scheme of royal blue, golds, lots of greenery. A noteworthy thing I loved was that Jules’ seamstress provided extra lacey scraps from her dress alterations that I was able to use in the detail shots!
Rock Island has an inherent modern & rustic elegance, with a simplistic beauty. We love first looks on the dock by the lake. 🙂 Everything took place on site so it was a very stress-free day. Jules and her girls had SO much fun together. Bridesmaids; take notes!
The song of the day was Kill the Lights, which the girls sang from the bridal suite balcony and belted later during reception. We can’t even look at the photos of them without hearing this song!! BIG energy, big mood. And w loved that they all got on the swing in the woods together!
The sun set was just about 7:30pm so 10 minutes of golden hour photos were a MUST. And we had a fantastic sunset over the lake. It really was magic hour. The firepits were burning and the smoke added a little moodiness to the photos.
Later on, the dancing was a GOOD time. The party was lit. Congrats again to Jules & Zack!!
