There are VERY few instances where I can say I remember exactly when a couple got together but I can say this about Matt & Lindsay! They met me for their September engagement session last Fall at The Castle at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, New Jersey.
They even brought a “prop” with them – a Yellow ’57 Chevy Bel Air classic car!
It was so nice to reconnect with this couple that I’ve known since high school. And it’s also super rare to see high school sweethearts together after all these years! It honestly made me a little emotional. We loved the addition of the yellow ’57 Chevy Bel Air that Matt inherited from his father, who passed away a few years ago. Even if it was a struggle to get the car to the shoot, we made photos happen!! The car has some mechanical issues and the couple got stuck on the way there, it had to be towed! They managed to get it to the shoot and then had it towed home! We could only get shots of it in the parking lot. But hey, that’s real life! The couple that gets towed together, stays together. 😀
I was so glad to see how at-ease they were with one another for the entire session. Remembering these two first getting together really made my heart swell because they are still so in love after all this time!
Steve and I can’t wait for their wedding at the Perona Farms Refinery next November!
