On September 10th of last year, Alexis and DJ’s wedding went down at the Perona Farms Reserve.

We’ve been positively obsessed with these two since their engagement session. We knew their wedding day would be a gooooood time!

How did you meet/get engaged?

In April 2022, after a decade of dating had passed, DJ proposed during their Spring Break in Charleston, SC. They first crossed paths at a high school friend’s party when DJ was in college.

Wedding Day Details

The vision: “Modern minimalist, simplistic, white/beige neutral/black, baby’s breath with roses.”

Alexis and DJ wanted photos reflected their day, more natural & not too posed. Their color scheme consisted of whites, neutrals and greens. “Modern & boho,” clean just like the Reserve’s classic yet rustic space.
The bride and groom prepped in the Carriage House onsite, and we did a first look under the Reserve’s really beautiful carport to avoid the light misty rain. It subsided after that – just enough rain to say it was good luck! Haha! The sun does not set that time of year until 7:15pm and we whisked the newly married couple out later on to the fields behind the venue for more candid and free outdoor photos.

From the lively energy the couple brought to the day, as well as their amazing core group of friends and family – we felt right at home and had the best time with everyone!! We just love when the vibes are so on point, we forget we are working and feel like we’re guests! Congrats again to Alexis and DJ – Always!
