Alexis and DJ were total liars when they said they feel camera-shy/awkward when they take pictures! ???? Lol! This is proof that you do not ever need to feel inherently comfortable in front of a camera before a session with us. Just love the one you’re with and great photos will happen. We adored this golden hour Session at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, NJ with this couple!!

It was late September, and Fall had just officially begun. But the trees were still green and hadn’t quite turned to those yellow and orange Autumnal colors yet. The evening was warm, breezy and comfortable. We shoot a Skylands a lot – but there’s always something new to discover every time! A new hidden pocket of sunlight, an open field or tall trees you never noticed before. We loved that this couple was game for anything!

How did you get Engaged?

Last April,  after 10 years together. The originally met at a friend’s party in High School. Now, a decade later, DJ proposed in Charleston, South Carolina while the couple was on a Spring Break trip together.

We are positively over-the-top with excitement to photograph their wedding at the Reserve at Perona Farms this September!
