Laina and Tyler’s November wedding at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, New Jersey was a quintessential Autumn wedding. There was even a horse and buggy that provided a ride for guests to the reception space at the venue!
On Christmas Eve, they have a family dairy farm in Fredon and both come from farming families. He proposed at the farm on Christmas Eve night by the firepit.
The vibe was rustic and laid-back, and considering these two come from farming backgrounds Waterloo was the perfect place! If you’ve never been there, they have llamas, chickens and ducks as you enter. There’s tons of architecture, as it’s an old historic village and there’s something about the textures in the fall that play off the foliage. It’s just magical! The primary color scheme was emerald green. And Laina envisioned a fall theme with lots of pumpkins, gourds and mums.
The couple prepped at each of their families’ respective farms. Laina’s beloved dog Lila was running around joyfully on the lawn when I arrived. They had a beautiful property! As a more traditional day, they had a religious ceremony at Ebenezer Netherland Reformed Church in Franklin Lakes, NJ – which is Laina’s family church!
When we arrived back at Waterloo, it was timed perfectly so that all photos were during golden hour end-of-day light. Laina & Tyler’s Waterloo Village wedding was a beautiful day!
