Alexa and Harry had a very private and intimate ceremony last November with just their closest family members. They tied the knot in the tunnel near Billings Lawn, situated within Fort Tryon Park in New York, NY.
The bride’s dress was Rebecca Schoneveld along with an ethereal, golden & understated crown. The feel of the day was moody and late Autumn with a crisp chill in the air. Their color scheme consisted of dark navy, burgundy, and gold tones.
“We met in Hoboken on New Years Day in 2017.”
Alexa is a 9th grade teacher and Harry is an IT systems analyst for a bank. Harry is Sri Lanken, from Toronto with a Hindu background. We loved seeing the fusion of their families coming together as one!
These two took a pandemic vacation and rented a micro-cabin in the Catskills. This is where Harry popped the question!
This couple considers themselves both forest and city people. And this park not only had a beautiful, architectural tunnel to get married under – but also plenty of nature around for NYC. Fort Tryon Park is a great combination of both nature and city. It’s also very calming and more secluded. It’s a sense of mellow within the city. Alexa also loved how close this spot is to The Met Cloisters.
After the most tear-jerking ceremony, we whisked the couple all around the park for photos. Alexa and Harry, along with their families, then sojourned to Freemans Restaurant in Manhattan for a celebratory dinner.
We wish the best of luck on this new chapter in their lives and we hope you two get to have your full reception down the road!
