Kristin and Dan had a laid back New Hampshire Wedding. Their close neighbors own the Miramichie Hill Barn. The private barn sat upon a hill overlooking an open field near Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton, NH. Any excuse to head out of NJ for a wedding, especially a New England wedding, is ok in our books!
It was September and the vibe was elegant & romantic with lots of greenery mixed with minimal white and blush flowers. String lights and candles created ambient lighting around the barn. There was even a burger bar for dinner! The bridesmaids wore a mismatched dusty color-scheme. The groom and groomsmen offset these late Summer/early Fall colors in navy blue. A New Hampshire Wedding was just gorgeous as the seasons transitioned from warmer to cooler. Steve and I stayed at a quaint b&b near the lake. Between the rehearsal dinner and wedding day we tried to relax and enjoy the views.
Kristin and Dan built their own hexagonal archway together for their ceremony. We were so impressed! This added such a personal touch to their New Hampshire Wedding day. Originally, the archway was meant to be outdoors on the hill overlooking the fields for their ceremony. However, due to some on and off rain, they chose to have their ceremony more intimately inside the barn. The archway looked just as perfect in front of the large windows as if it had always been there. Furthermore, the archway added a special touch from ceremony through reception as a constant reminder of the experience Kristin & Dan shared building it together.
Steve and I are beyond thrilled we had the opportunity to make the drive up to New Hampshire last September and photograph Kristin & Dan’s special day. Cheers to the newlyweds!
