Courtney and Shane requested Natirar for their June engagement session. It was where they had their first date and got engaged! I was so excited because previously, we’ve only ever shot weddings up in the mansion. But we’ve never explored the vast acres this extensively.
What I found is that not only are there rolling hills, and lush meadows – but endless fields of trees, a stream and bridge (which is where Shane popped the question!) and all make for picturesque backdrops!
In March of 2026 when Shane decided to propose, he lied that they were just meeting up with Courtney’s sister and going for a walk in Natirar. But he took her to the bridge where her sister was eagerly waiting to take photos as he got down on one knee. Of course we had to do their engagement session here!
These two put up with an early June heat wave, and made it look effortless. AND I didn’t know until we got there that it happened to be Shane’s birthday! It was so fun getting to know them. We talked tattoos, heat tolerance (lol), psychics + tarot cards and a love of being homebodies.
“We met at our part time jobs* & started dating shortly after. We have two orange and white cats (Berry is boy / Cherry girl) that we are a bit too obsessed with. Now we’ve been together for 5 going on 6 years and look forward to our wedding!”
*Shout out: Home Depot!!
We personally can’t wait for their wedding next August at the Perona Farms Refinery!
