Amanda and Alex chose Alex’s private family farm in Asbury, New Jersey for their summer engagement session last June. And nope, not the Jersey shore! For extra clarity, it’s Asbury not Asbury Park haha, and unfortunately no it’s not available to others for sessions. (Although after photographing them here, I suggested they rent their land out for sessions!!) It was everything I could dream of: privacy, with open fields. A safe place for their pups to run around. Gorgeous landscape to catch golden hour. Finally, a house where they could quickly change outfits inside, a.k.a. not searching for a nearby bathroom or changing in cars! Now we wish we had our own private family farm for photoshoots!

For obvious reasons, Amanda and Alex chose Alex’s family farm because it was full of meaning and also completely private! Additionally, their favorite dogs could be involved – which is always a plus!

The privacy was key because they immediately felt comfortable, but it was clear from the start Amanda and Alex just enjoy each other’s company. They make each other very happy and I couldn’t click my camera fast enough. Every second was playful. Now we absolutely cannot wait for their wedding this upcoming at The Farm Bakery & Events in Quakertown, PA.

How did you meet / get engaged?

This couple met in school, 5th grade to be exact!! Then they went off to the same college but actually reconnected later. After dating for a few years, Alex finally proposed Mid-December in Peddler’s Village surrounded by the Winter lights late in the evening. It was 11pm on a Tuesday with no one around. SO romantic.

Tell us about yourselves!

“We grew up in the same town and went to school together from 5th grade on! We never really connected for real until we went to Rutgers together for college. We truly began as friends and it quickly progressed to more than that! Alex proposed on December 13th, 2022 in Peddler’s Village with all of the Christmas lights! It was intimate and perfect for us. Alex owns his own forensic engineering company, so we do a lot of that together. If we’re not working together or watching our favorite Netflix shows, we’re going out for sushi or racing formula cars at the race track! There’s truly never a dull moment with us. We love being active and creating a life we love together!”
