Jockey Hollow is one of our favorite places in the Fall and the overgrown meadows were perfect in November for Michelle and Paul’s engagement session!
It was noteworthy that this started out as a little family session hybrid. Of course, we welcomed Michelle’s children to join them for a few initial photos. When we had our first meeting with Michelle, she let us know that her marriage to Paul would be her second. Her first husband had passed while she was pregnant with her daughter. To say we were moved by her and Paul’s union was an understatement. We were so inspired by the fact she found love a second time around, and with someone who embraced her and her kids wholeheartedly.
It was clear from the start why the universe aligned for these two. Michelle and Paul are big kids themselves who bring out the best in each other. We truly believe they will stay forever young together. It was a beautiful thing to witness.
Jockey Hollow was a great choice for their session because it has an outdoors setting without being *too* deep in nature. There are old colonial houses, a barn, garden and walking path. Paul considers himself “crunchy” and into outdoors and nature. Michelle likes modern glam. This setting offered a nice mix of both.
“We met at a Clark police family event and got engaged at the Grand Canyon April of 2022!”
We can’t wait to blog their Perona Farms wedding from last August! They chose Perona because it was the perfect blend of rustic outdoors and modern glam. We’ll be sharing that to the blog very soon!
