I met up with Jess and Griffin at Jockey Hollow in Morristown, New Jersey for their July engagement session. It was one of those Summer days where the humidity just hangs in the air. However, despite some stickiness, it enhanced their session by creating a fog-like atmosphere allowing for moody and romantic photos.
During the mid-Summer season, sessions are typically 6-8pm before the sun sets. But Jockey Hollow closes before sun set, so we jetted up the road to nearby Cross Estate Gardens to finish their session. We had the best of both worlds because Jockey Hollow has a farm style vibe with expansive meadows and Cross Estate has gorgeous, private manicured gardens. It was a beautiful evening. We can’t wait for their wedding at David’s Country Inn this August!
“We met in 2016 while working for an aviation parts supplier in Yonkers, NY. There was an instant connection and familiar feeling that we have met before, even though we never did. I like to think of that as soul recognition. We purchased our first home in February 2021 and have spent every weekend since then trying to get organized, lol. We enjoy spending time with our families, going on adventures and binge-watching on the couch.”
