Laura and Rob’s October wedding at Indian Trail Club of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey was a flat out GOOD day. The weather was perfect, except for a passing rain storm that forced the ceremony indoors – but it was still beautiful, nonetheless!!
Their dog Walter joined the couple for photos, scroll to see how insanely cute he is. The bride’s dress was Pronovias from L’Fay Bridal in Chatham, NJ. The groom’s suit was from Suit Supply. The incredible flowers were done by a friend, except for the chuppah which was done by Colony Florist. The general theme was classic, modern and (mostly) traditional. Color scheme was varied. Bridesmaids were given a choice of a variety of colors (jewel tones) i.e. emerald green, navy, maroon, dark purple. Groom and groomsmen wore navy. Flowers were a combination of maroon, purple, beige, greenery and some pops of color – mostly dahlias of different sizes (the bride’s favorite, and mine, too!)
The bride considered her wedding party to be more of a “bridal gang,” in other words, big but casual. As mentioned above, the girls chose colors and styles on their own.
The other non-traditional part of this Indian Trail Club wedding was the Interfaith ceremony. Rob is Jewish and Laura is Methodist so they had a Pastor AND Rabbi. This is the thing we love most about weddings, the blending of two families and all of their traditions unifying as one.
Indian Trail Club just has a clean, simplistic beauty. The weather held off for all of our scheduled photo time so we made use of the lake & back meadow area. October is the best time of year for fall foliage, but it was still early in the month so we still had lots of greenery, too! Aside from a little sprinkle of rain it was truly a stress-free day. 🙂 There was even a guest appearance by Indian Trail Club’s very own Ruby the pig!
“Rob and I have been together for 10+ years (we will be 2 weeks shy of 11 years when we get married!) We met at Muhlenberg College, started dating our senior year, and have been together ever since! We’ve always worked in New York and live across the river, first in Hoboken and now in Jersey City for the last few years. And our little family includes our fur baby, Walter, who will also be at the wedding as a little groomsman!”
