Kim & Charles chose one of our favorite places in New Jersey, Hartshorne Woods Park  for their engagement session!

When our new website launched, we did a little Instagram contest giveaway. Kim entered and lo and behold, they won 50% off a session with us! We’re so glad the world of social media connected us to this amazing couple. Both are healthcare workers and have had QUITE a year. Needless to say, they were extremely deserving of this session.

This couple made us incredibly happy. They followed our main rules; don’t be afraid to play around, put your hands on each other and ignore that we’re there! Of course, we always give direction. But our favorite thing ever is when we’re photographing a couple and they start to have such a good time together that they forget we’re there. We can be more documentary and just focus on the couple being themselves. Which is always more natural than interjecting too much with posing.

The Perfect Mix of Woods & Beach

Hartshorne Woods Park has this great trail that overlooks the Navesink River in Highlands, New Jersey. We always recommend this spot for anyone who can’t decide between the woods AND beach for their session. You have to walk a mighty steep hill to get down to the secluded beach area, but it’s ALWAYS worth it. We’re so glad Kim & Charles were amazing sports and hiked all around with us. It gets tiring heading up and down that hill, but the magic never died for them. These two had unbelievable chemistry the entire time and we are so glad to have gotten the opportunity to work with them!
