Lijo and Vanessa celebrated their marriage with not one, but two ceremonies in one day! Dual ceremonies meant one Indian church wedding in the early afternoon, and a Hindu wedding with a Baraat later in the evening at Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, NY.
The vision for their day was elegant-romantic with warm colors and bright flair. Attire was Indian clothing or formal wear. The color schemes were pink, cream, maroon, peach, navy blue and gold with splashes of color throughout. In between the church ceremony and the Baraat we stopped at nearby Glen Island Park for sunset portraits for Lijo, Vanessa and the bridal party before heading to Greentree Country Club.
When we arrived back at the venue, the bride had a quick outfit change from her Kleinfeld wedding gown to a beautiful red and gold Sari. The white horse and the Dhol player arrived and the Baraat began. Baraat’s are so much fun to photograph, we love the energy!
Later at reception there was an awesome choreographed Indian dance after speeches. Guests of honor performed the dance as the bride and groom watched. But then Lijo and Vanessa jumped in and were part of it, too, with a big pop of confetti at the end! Even we weren’t expecting it! Then there wasn’t a quiet moment on the dance-floor for the rest of the night!
