Maeve and Dom’s cozy November wedding at Rock Island Lake Club was both romantic and whimsical. They described their wedding vibe as: “Rustic elegance. Color scheme including burgundy, dusty rose, greens, gold.”
From their October engagement session, we knew these two weren’t afraid to cozy up and be cute in front of us.
The weather was incredible for November, and we used all the great spots Rock Island has to offer including the woods, dock, lake & swing. The couple was able to share their ceremony with loved ones outdoors with the lakeside views. They even had Reverend Maureen Jeffries as their officiant. (Our very own wedding officiant!!)
Maeve and Dom stopped looking at venues after they saw Rock Island. They loved that it’s not a big fancy ballroom. But it’s still spacious, with a great cocktail space & food. There’s a low-key “rustic elegance” that makes the atmosphere more casual. And they loved that it overlooks a lake!
Another thing I absolutely loved was that Maeve chose to wear a veil-cape! If you know me, you know I love a veil-cape and wore one for our wedding!! It’s the most comfortable decision you’ll ever make (aside from wedding footwear, haha). And I really recommend a cape over a traditional veil because it adheres to your shoulders and doesn’t tug on your hair all day!
All the details were so thoughtful and this couple was so sweet together. It was just all-around a wonderful wedding day!!
“We met through mutual friends. We enjoy being outside, taking our dog to the dog park, game nights, and going out to eat.”
