Maeve & Dominick’s Verona Park October engagement session took place right on the cusp of the changing seasons! This is our absolute FAVORITE time of year!! The air is still a little warm like September, and some leaves are only just starting to turn. But the Fall golden hour sunlight is setting in and it’s just the best. This session actually took place a few days after Steve and my bigger wedding on 10/2/21. So clearly, we are biased about this time of year.
Verona Park can often be a popular spot for sessions. There really is rarely a time where there aren’t at least 5 other shoots happening, let alone an entire wedding party taking up the space at the bridge. We were lucky though because on this day, only a family session or two was going on. This is why we urge weeknights for engagement sessions!! (I believe this was on a Thursday). Popular spots aren’t as crowded as they would be on the weekends. You’ll have more privacy and feel more at-ease.
These two finished out the session with a champagne pop and toast.
We’re looking forward to their rustic, lakeside wedding this November 2022 at Rock Island Lake Club!
“We met through mutual friends. We enjoy being outside, taking our dog to the dog park, game nights, and going out to eat.”
