Amanda & Rob’s Ballyowen Golf Club wedding was probably the best party we covered all year! The venue worked with them and held everything outdoors. For reception, they opened up all the big side-walls of the venue space so the room had nothing but strong-airflow. DJ Jeff Scott Gould of SCE Event Group had the guests tearing the dancefloor up. Seriously – Best. Party. Ever.

Amanda’s vision for the day:

“Traditional, rustic & simple without the total barn-style look. Guys will wear a shade of navy with ivory shirts and brown shoes. The top color choices for our bridesmaids are shades of grey or ivory. Floral arrangements and bridal bouquet will include lots of greens such as eucalyptus and ivory flower tones as well. Natural candle-light for centerpieces and we might incorporate old style whiskey and wine bottles for table numbers. We’re not into glitter, sequins, silvers or golds so those will not be used, instead we’ll use natural materials such as burlap and lace. We will more than likely not be having those bright and colorful led lights that you might find common at other weddings.”

 

We love that they kept colors simple! Rob’s own family members own a flower shop and created the floral designs. This was such a beautiful, personal touch. Ballyowen Golf Club has the vibe of an alternative wedding space, by still being classic and elegant. Some other highlights included their dog Odin making an appearance for photos. (And then the little hints of him on design elements at reception). Amanda planned a cigar bar to surprise Rob. And their talented videographers at Creative Vision Media gave them a same-day-edit video to watch together at the end of the night. Amanda was in tears!
