Nicolette and Matt’s engagement session was a tale of love and waves at Sandy Hook Beach in Highlands, New Jersey.

When we met up in April we expected Spring sunshine, but the weather was unseasonably warm. To our shock, these two lucked out with the first day that felt warm like Summer in early April. Together, hand in hand with their pup, we walked along the shoreline of the Sandy Hook Beach Bay.

By the end of the session, the sky had turned every shade of golden orange and yellow with pink and purple hues.

How did you meet/How did you get engaged?

Nicolette and Matt met on hinge and their first date overlooked the city skyline. They were engaged by April 2022.

Matt recreated their first date, which took place during covid in 2020. They had to get drinks to-go. So for her birthday and engagement plan, now that they could actually be out in the world – Matt took Nicolette bar hopping along the waterfront in Hoboken from North to South. They started at same bar from their first date, and ended up at the Pier with a hired photographer there to document it all.
