Danielle & Craig chose Laurelwood Arboretum for their engagement session, giving it a botanical, garden vibe. I’m such a crazy plant lady, I absolutely love this place!! There are such unique plants I didn’t expect to find growing outdoors in New Jersey. There were large banana leaves and succulents growing out of the ground! It is definitely a hidden gem in Wayne, NJ. We had almost the entire arboretum to ourselves! Well, except for went a “plant-watching” group that passed through. Other than that however, we were totally alone! It was so casual just walking around this serene place.
For those of you that know us, you will know that Steve and I are big animal lovers and just get so excited when dogs are around. Of course, we don’t have one of our own just yet since we are always so busy. Therefore, when one of our couples mentions their dog will be making an appearance at a shoot, we jump for joy. Let’s be real, we are just living vicariously through you and playing with your dog for a day. (Side note: cats are welcome, too, but I think that’d be best for an at-home session. Actually, I’m pretty sure your cat thinks that would be best, too lol). Anyway! View the whole session below and say hello to Leila, their newly adopted rescue pup. Leila loved exploring Laurelwood Arboretum – and we loved having her there! D & C we can’t wait to photograph your wedding at Lake Valhalla Club next year!
