Ok everyone, stop what you’re doing because my bff is due with her baby soon!! I had the absolute pleasure of photographing my best friend Autumn and her husband Mark’s maternity session at Laurelwood Arboretum!
This shoot was SO important because I hadn’t seen her basically since early September at the start of her pregnancy. Thanks to covid, I’ve seen less of Autumn than ever before. We have had a strong bond since we were fifteen, And even if weeks passed in between seeing each other during post-college/work life, we’ve never gone THIS many months. I’ve very much wanted to keep her safe through the last few months and have refrained from seeing her in-person, which has been difficult. And what was more difficult was not giving her a big ol’ hug when I finally saw her. But just being able to catch up with her, Mark, and her younger sister Summer who came and assisted for me, was enough to at least hold me over for a little while.
Autumn used to pose for me from high school through college when I needed someone to practice on. I can’t believe we’ve now reached a point where I’m photographing her maternity session!! I could cry! And of course, she looked like a radiant, glowing goddess.
I cannot WAIT for baby Mark to arrive.
Autumn and grown-up Mark, you’re going to be amazing parents and I can’t wait to watch your little family grow!
xoxo Auntie Jen
