Hayley and David celebrated nearly 8 years of love last spring with a wedding at The Barn at Perona Farms that beautifully balanced heartfelt moments and sheer bliss. From their intimate ceremony to the lively reception, it was the perfect celebration of their past and future together.
By choosing The Barn at Perona Farms as their venue, they embraced the rustic elegance that set the ideal scene for their spring celebration. Further, the bridesmaids’ dresses from Revelry and Birdy Grey, in dusty rose pink and light terracotta, helped highlight the warm and elegant atmosphere. They perfectly matched the blooming season, encapsulating the “summer is almost here” feeling they had envisioned.
Moreover, Hayley wore an absolutely stunning Essense of Australia gown from Kleinfeld Bridal, which complemented the soft, warm tones of the day. Meanwhile, David looked sharp in a classic Brooks Brothers suit from Macy’s. In addition, Bella Fiori Events designed the beautiful floral arrangements, each bloom reflecting the romantic and dreamy mood of the wedding. It was also awesome shooting alongside our good friends AKAM Productions on video!
As the night progressed, Imagine from EBE Entertainment brought the energy, keeping everyone on their feet and dancing the night away. Our favorite moment was when they played “I’M ON A BOAT!” – big Lonely Island fans right here! Ultimately, the entire day celebrated the journey Hayley and David have shared, marking the start of an exciting new chapter filled with love and adventure.
“David and I actually met in high school but didn’t start dating until after we had both graduated college. We were both playing the long game I guess haha.
We kept a lot of the same friends from high school so during college when we’d come back on breaks we’d hang out and get to spending more time together. There was even one summer when I tried to set him up with one of my roommates! I think I knew I liked him once I’d set him up and then I realized ‘oh… this was a bad idea.’ But thankfully for everyone, that just kind of fizzled out. Once we did start finally dating it was like things just clicked. Everything was so easy and simple. No games, no complications.
We’ve always loved watching movies and shows together. What could be a very passive activity for some couples becomes very active for us. David’s a movie guy and I’m a TV gal, I always say. We love pausing during a new show to discuss a plot theory or pointing out to one another the framing of a particular shot in a film. It makes the “down time” fun.
We have a tuxedo cat named Miles who is truly our baby. He has the best personality. I always joke about this but I say with Miles it was love at first sight but with David it took a little longer.
There’s something kind of special knowing that we were there in each other’s lives all that time. And it wasn’t until we were both individually ready, more fully formed people on our own that “fate” or the powers that be brought us together again.”
We loved your engagement story in the city at your favorite restaurant; we especially loved the part where you walked along the water and a surprise violinist popped out along with your friend who snapped pics. 🙂
We wish Hayley and David a lifetime of happiness and beautiful memories. Cheers!
