There’s something undeniably magical about a May wedding in New Jersey! Fresh blooms, vibrant greenery, and soft golden light create the ideal backdrop for a celebration rooted in love. Barbara and Katie’s same sex wedding at Stone House at Stirling Ridge was the perfect reflection of the season – elegant, romantic, and effortlessly timeless.

The day started off with warm sunshine, but a Spring shower rolled in right before the ceremony began. While the weather shifted their plans indoors, it never dampened the joy of the day! Instead, it created an even more intimate atmosphere. The indoor ceremony was absolutely stunning – simple, yet intentional. The space truly speaks for itself and needs minimal decor to bring it to life!

Before the rain arrived, we were able to document tons of thoughtful, loving and playful moments with Katie and Barbara outside. The garden chessboard is one of our favorite photo locations at this venue, with the space surrounded by stunning florals and greenery. Both brides looked gorgeous in their satin wedding gowns from Castle Couture, one with a plunging neckline and the other with a dramatic, oversized bow cascading down the back.

During the reception, Barbara and Katie’s friends and family definitely knew how to party! They spent the night on the dance floor – and the brides whipped out pink sunglasses for a special Pink Pony Club dance.

Tell us about yourselves!

“We got engaged on August 7, 2023 after dating for a little over 5 years. We met on the Rutgers club gymnastics team, became fast friends, and then started dating after we graduated undergrad. We love hanging out and watching TV, going out to eat, playing board games, just laying with each other and chatting at the end of the day, etc. In general, our favorite place to be is with each other.”

We even had gone back to their apartment for drinks and boardgames at the end of their engagement session! Wishing Katie & Barb a lifetime of happiness, forever!
