Danielle & DJ LOVE to hike. And we give them all the credit for finding this INCREDIBLE location. This hiking trail in Sloatsburg, NY isn’t super easy to find, but now that they’ve shown us the route we are definitely coming back to hike again!

About the couple:

Danielle is a senior financial analyst at Wheels Up and DJ is a paralegal at Fidelity National Title. They love to travel (Pre-COVID), hike, rock climb, spend time with our dog Eva, and eat out at restaurants. Danielle volunteers with New York Cares (kid fitness and soup kitchens) and sings with a choir in the city that performs at Carnegie Hall (on hold for now!) DJ grew up on a farm in NJ and played baseball growing up. They both love being outdoors and spending time with their families.

Nowhere to go but up

This whole trail is stunning, we kept stopping every five minutes for the nice light and woodsy backgrounds. But as we made our way up the Sloatsburg hiking trail, it became apparent very quickly that the best was yet to come.

As we made our way up the rocky rest of the trail, the sun was positioning itself perfectly in the sky. Just over the mountain-ridge, we could see the golden light pouring over the landscape. That’s when we decided they should change clothes. Being the good sports that they were, Danielle & DJ got changed behind some rocks (lol) into their more formal-wear.

These two were SO fun to work with, including their sweet pup Eva. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding at Battello next year!
