Kelly and Adam’s LBI Wedding at Sea Shell Resort + Beach Club took place in the Springtime. A beach wedding vibe really welcomed the on-coming Summer months.

The overall vibe was a “Spring wedding at the beach, with muted blues and neutrals, frosted acrylic signs, greenery and white flowers.” Kelly envisioned a wedding that was modern but alternative (a resort vs. a typical banquet hall), as well as beachy-casual and laid-back. Since the wedding took place in the month of May, it allowed for all the beach views without the Summer heat! The couple had a private beach to themselves for the ceremony, cocktail and reception! It was so nice having a beach ceremony without a bunch of random beach-goers looking on.

The first look happened privately on the beach, as well as all the important photos before ceremony.

The bride’s dress was the Audrey style by Eddy K from Brides by Young, the bridesmaid dresses were from JJ’s House and the groom’s suit was from Generation Tux.

Both Kelly and Adam got ready on site at Sea Shell Resort. Misty rain had been in the air but we were able to do everything outdoors all day long. It was actually the most perfect, comfortable weather. We didn’t get much of a sunset due to the clouds, but we took them outside for a misty night shot.

Personal Touches

There were a lot of special and personal touches to this couple’s wedding day. They had a live guitarist during cocktail hour overlooking the beach because they love seeing live music together, being outdoors and the beach. LBI has become a special place for them both for the last few years, and it’s even where Adam proposed at Barnegat Lighthouse! 🙂

One of Adam’s groomsmen passed away the previous September so they did a few things to honor him. Adam walked down the aisle with his football jersey and the best man held the jersey throughout the ceremony.

Even the Officiant, Pastor Tom was from Adam’s childhood church! Since the wedding took place on Friday the 13th, there were lottery tickets + lucky pennies on the guests’ tables. Finally, their adorable dog Tony joined them for portraits and even on the dancefloor!

“We met in our first week of college! We were best friends for 2 years and after spending most of our time together throughout college, I told him that I had a crush and we began dating 6 years ago! We love going to waterparks, the beach, and haunted houses. We’re very laid back and just enjoy having a good time!”
