Couple takes a romantic boat ride around Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, New Jersey. Bride's dress was from Jaehee Bridal Atelier, bridesmaid dresses were from Azazie and groom's suit was from Jos. A. Bank.

Samantha and Garrett’s number one priority for their wedding day at Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, New Jersey was to just have FUN. We were so excited that they were game to get on one of their boats at sunset for a romantic ride around the lake together. Most brides are too nervous to hop in a boat in their wedding dress!

The Vision

The color scheme was sage/dusty green, with blush pinks and gold. The overall feel was rustic and modern elegance with Summertime, lakeside vibes. The bride’s dress was from Jaehee Bridal Atelier, bridesmaid dresses were from Azazie and groom’s suit was from Jos. A. Bank.

The couple knew Rock Island was the right place for their wedding when they first saw it. It’s down to earth but also clean, polished & modern. They loved that the ceremony had a view of the water and that there’s even a mini beach. June provided lots of natural and seasonal greenery.
Everything was onsite and they opted for a first look so it was a very chill and stress-free day.
During the end of June, the sun does not set until 8:30pm so guests looked on during cocktail as we whisked the bride and groom back out for golden hour shots. Sam was SO ready to hop in the boat. We love seeing that type of enthusiasm in a bride! She had the right attitude – if she fell in, hey at least the dress made it through the ceremony! Lol! 😉

The night ended with a sparkler send-off, immediately following cake cutting. We had a blast with Sam & Garrett!

“We met on Bumble and our first date was at The Office Restaurant. Coincidentally we realized we were at the same wedding 5 years prior, but didn’t know each other! We like to go on hikes, day/weekend trips, cook, and hang with our family and friends. The most recent show we binge-watched was flip or flop as we prepare to start our own house hunting adventure.”
